Help me understand CPC in Adsense

I'm a complete newbie when it comes to Adsense. For argument's sake, say that you target a keyword like how to stop a cold, which has "Low" competition, a suggested bid of £2.85 and 0% ad impr. share. You would probably get a decent amount of money if somone clicked on an ad on this page.

However, say that you also decide to target a phrase like, stop a cold before it starts, or how to stop a cold fast. These terms have low competition, no suggested bid and 0% ad impr. share.

Would relevant ads still appear on these pages, even though no advertiser seems to be targeting them? How would it affect the cpc if relevant ads do appear? This is assuming that your whole site is about colds.

If nobody is bidding, no ads show.

The CPC is much lower than suggested bids on search.

There are plenty of global advertisers, so if you have your ads
set to image and text, you will probably get an ad to show.
    Relevancy, not even close.

You can't get a relevant ad without a relevant bidder.

Colds is a bad example. Google frowns on medical advice and
adsense. They probably would not even like a page titled,
"how to stop a cold fast."
