Beginner Thoughts on SEO

18 months ago I created a blog ( hxxp://www.vintage-speaker-review.com/2013/11/acoustic-research-ar-6-review-and-price.html ) and am since writing reviews of old loudspeakers. I did never show up high on google rankings when it comes to more general keywords (vintage speaker), but as most of these speakers have nearly no competition, I rank pretty good when people search for a specific speaker (i.e. #1 for Fisher DS-826 ).

I´d like to get some SEO going for my blog, but would like to have some input on my ideas. Are my beginner thoughts on these topics correct?

1.
Blogger puts as H1, H2 and H3
<h1>Blog Title</h1>
<h3>The post title</h3>
<h2>Sidebar Gadget title</h2>

As I am posting fairly independent reviews, would it not make more sense to change these to:
<h1>The post title</h1>
<h3>Blog Title</h3>
<h2>not sure yet...</h2>

2.
Until recently, I simply used "bold" to create subheadings in posts. Should it improve my SEO stats, if I go through all my articles and actually change my bold subheadings to real subheadings with a header tag?

3.
I downloaded Traffic Travis and it shows me that my website has an impressing 118 pagewarnings. ... is that high? ... normal? I better change that right?

Put your keyword as the Title and URL (use %postname% permalinks). Make sure the words in your keyword appear in the H1 and meta-Description, but not exactly in order. And yes that's way too many warnings from Traffic Travis, find a new theme or something that does not get so many warnings. The Twenty Eleven theme has almost perfect HTML, which Google loves.

Don't get too caught up with the "H" tags, just one H1 tag with your main KW is good enough, also have it in meta tags. I use Platinum SEO plugin for WP for all on-page SEO needs. Remember that your content should capture your visitors with exciting titles, subtitles, content structure and flow - don't worry about on-page optimization besides what I mentioned above.

Concentrate more on getting quality backlinks to your site and pages of your site

Thanks for the feedback. I am unfortunately with blogger, so WP is not an option at the time. I ll do some basic on-page seo and will then do some backlinking. Never did that before. I´ll just ask other website owners in my niche for a link to my website, let s see how that goes.

Depending on the blog or CMS you are using, you may be able to adjust it so that your post title automatically shows first before your Blog name. This is possible by simply tweaking your HTML code in Blogger and possibly Wordpress.

Regarding the Traffic Travis warnings: Most are for the individual post urls:

-The Page has no H1 Tags
    -Image is missing alt tag
    -Meta description is empty
-URL is more than 72 characters or contains more than 5 words.

I´ll google a little to find out if I can easily work on those issues.
