I've just discovered a keyword search tool called http://www.spacky.com
Has anyone heard/used this before? Is it useful? Or should I stick with Google Keyword Tool?

Or is there another preference? e.g. wordtracker.com ?

The best tool hands down that I've ever used for keyword, SEO, and market analysis is Market Samurai... It is a paid tool but once you start using it you will never use another...

    cheers

I have both Wordtracker and Keyword Discovery, but my favorite is Google. The others are expensive and not very accurate, while Google is great and FREE!

I think it is always smart to use the original source of information as compared to any third party tools.

My first preference always would be google keyword research tool.

    Hope this helps,

If budget is a concern, use free.

    Google keyword tools like:

    https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Search-based keyword tool (latest tool I am using that works great!)

    Word Tracker (free version)

    They are pretty accurate.

As for paid version, I have used KeywordSpy before. This is very powerful but quite costly as you have to pay monthly subscriptions. If you are using PPC, then this is a good tool to have.

I checked out that tool and it is kind of cool. I wouldn't rely on a single keyword tool; they are all inaccurate. cross reference the main ones to get an idea of what you are getting into.

They are tools and just that. Use them and don't fret about which is the best. You will get different information from different tools because they get their information from different sources, and they all are approximations.

As a new IM (and I speak for all new IM's), trying our hand at market research followed by PPC, would you agree that Google keyword can basically do the job?
It's free, easy to use, and the words you select are ready for PPC campaign's.

I play with others, but if you know how to read it, google's got all the answers for you for free.

  • What Search Engine gets the most use? And if it gets the most use then it has the largest data pool from which to pull the keyword search information. I've never searched for anything at sparkywhatever.... maybe they have an in to a good data source or maybe not.
