It depends on your keyword. Certain keywords will not rank quickly on YT.

In one of my more competitive niches, it took me 2 months to get #1 rankings on youtube. And 3 months to get #1 rankings on Google.

I did it by buying retention views, using vagex for likes / subs and building link pyramids with GSA.

That video has been ranking #1 for about 8 months now.

Then I have tons of other videos I've ranked.

The problem is, over the last month or 2 YT is cracking down HARD on retention view suppliers. And videos aren't always taken down immediately. Sometimes it takes a month before YT deletes your video.

So I've had to do A LOT of testing to find the person I use now. And I would not share him with anyone. There is also a gig on fiver who is doing lots of retention views, and he has never gotten any of my videos deleted. But I don't share my sources anymore.

So if I were you, I'd test test test. It will take a while to find a working formula, but when you do, it will be very profitable, and something you don't want to share with random strangers.

Make sure to put the keywords that you’re trying to rank in the title of your video. Build links from domains with high authority - create contextual links to web 2.0 properties, article directory and wiki sites, social bookmarking and document sharing sites, homepage backlink, creating blog posts, press release, etc.

Let me share my experience on ranking Youttube video on Youtube search :

1. I make sure to have an eye-catcy title, at the same time it has relevant words/phrases that I wish to rank for

2. For description of the video as well, I try to make it for human readers, but short as possible at the same time try to have the BEST keyword that I wish to rank for.

3. Add keywords that I wish to rank for as the tags (but do not spam it, just few tags)

4. Add annotation with call of action

5. Publish the video on all of my social media profiles (Of course, that has got re-shared by my fans, followers and so on)

6. Start to give a link back on my blogs as well as did some bookmarks

After around 4-6 weeks, I had noticed my video is on top 3 on keyword searches, and that drives me at least 10-20 clicks per day to my site. - This is just one video, so, now I planned to repeat it again and again..... as well as planed to establish Youtube Channel.

Spamming a video is great when it ranks! Then the big G will sooner or later find out and delete the video...not a good long-term income. I spent a lot of money on a highly competitive term "lose weight fast" and was on the 1st page of Google for 3 days...got a couple of sales and boom one day I looked at rankings and video was deleted. I spammed it so much...I know because I did it with other videos and it lasted for a week tops. I think G does it too competitive keywords.

2. Use your keywords in youtube descriptions two more times.
3. Place your particular website page URL into the description top first.
4. Place this video into your that particular website page.

You should concentrate on building backlinks... But you can't do this FAST. Also, you would get a better ranking if you have A LOT of views!

Don't buy traffic or views since your video will just get removed, firstly make a quality video and share with your friends and if they like it then they will share with others, that is where you will get your starting views.

The most important wholly i say everything to rank higher in video results is to make the video that people will get engaged in that. Since the people are looking for video that is either informative or funny or other thing - that actually fulfill the need of the user what he want. For example say i want to know how to hide my friends vislibiyt to other on facebook - if your video will shows that user offcourse view it. If they liked it they will share it so thier freinds will and so on.... Hence first go for the good content that is informative - serve the purpose of the viewers.
I frankly say sharing the video by you on your social network will have less impact - rather let other user share the things. I totaly not neglecting that. Share the video on Tumblr and reddit will have more influence on the video view hence ranking than other social network.

You must have good title that contain the keyword you want to target, so the description and the tags.

Lastly I backlink is the parameter - so if possible on youtube try to have many videos response to the similar videos which har to get. Focus on getting backlinks from good blog as user share the url or embed them.

Write Unique and Attractive Title and Description of your video. Also you can use Youtube paid services to optimize your video well.

You expressly need to focus on audience holding like sweetly said. this will skyrocket your videos through the rankings to the top, I've heard good things about back links and syndication detected at you tube videos.

There is one method that help you to rank video so fast for the short time.
Its black hat method if you applying it then you will rank first on YT but risking your video to get deleted.
