I am trying to recall an offer (not sure if it was aWSO) in which emphasis was totally on onpage SEO. the author had a course about checking and analyzing on=page content and SEO of competitor sites and identify what elements stand out to make them rank high on first page of Google. They also had a software to automatically analyse and create content for the sites.

Trying to locate this one. Does any one on the forum knows about this course? Would appreciate help in locating it.

Thanks

Onsite is very important but it's not going to make you rank if your industry is remotely competitive. I make sure my onsite is right when building the site and focus 95% on links.

Thanks for your quick response. I agree more competative the niche harder it is going to be. It has become harder now because building random backlinks is trouble.

On-site is important, but people really overthink it. If you get the basics down you'll be fine.

    1. title tags.
    2. header tags.
    3. meta tags.
    4. seo friendly urls
    5. optimized images.
    6. clean navigation
    7. simple site structure/hierarchy

If you do these simple steps that should be all you need without really getting into the nitty gritty. Your time would be better spent working on your off-site campaign.

Thanks a lot for the advice. I agree. Only additional thing that caught my eye was about Key words, LSI key words and how to use anchor texts.

Interlinking is very important. Identify the top category pages and link them from you own domain content. If you have a blog, even better!

Niel Patel made a great free tool for onsite SEO. If you search his site, QuickSprout, you'll probably find it.

All the things are important to On-Page Optimization, like title tags, meta tags, H tags etc. Apart from these aspects content might play the major role in On-Page Optimization. It should be unique and it must be an end user friendly.
For example: If the end user need some details about cakes and pumps, then all the keywords must carry the landing page as a niche relevant pages.
