Aw stats and Google keyword tool accuracy

Hi,

According to google keyword planner - my main keyword gets 250 local searches a month. I am number 2 for this keyword but AW stats shows me as getting no visitors for this keyword. What's more I am showing as getting visitors for local keywords I am not getting ranking well for, not even in the top 100 for some. This makes me think that AW stats is not working properly. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Seamy

Google stopped passing along keyword data a few months ago.

It had been a steady keyword though for years - 250 is not likely to fall to nothing. Its the main keyword for this niche.

I'm saying that Google is no longer providing data to analytics programs identifying keywords that searchers used. You are probably still getting traffic from the keyword, but now it shows as part of the (not provided) or something like that.

Got you. That makes sense. So we're groping around in the dark now.
