I am trying to start my website. I am at the point I need to find my keywords, possibly the most important part of marketing. My niche is make money online,
business opportunity, work from home (ext).

Should I hire someone to do the research, if so who or where should I look to hire someone besides fiverr.com. I need high traffic an low comp.

Need this done right! Please help.

  • Not sure I would trust someone else judgement on this. I always look on keywords as personal things. The things I look for in keywords is different than what someone else looks for.

But that is just my person opinion.
  • The "make money online" niche is extremely competitive. Unless you plan on focusing on a very specific money making niche, you're going to find it difficult without much experience.

    • So true....and unless you are promoting pie in the sky crapola ..you need to further the niche to where you can really make money.
  • What are the methods that you make money online? Those methods are your keywords to focus. If you didn't have made any money and just focus on the keywords from Search Engine to write articles based on it, you will fail in no time in MMO niche.
  • As previous posters said, I'd suggest that you try something else.

Don't worry so much about the keywords but rather the content. If you cannot provide real value-adding content that you can't get anywhere else, there really isn't much point of having low comp keywords to begin with.
  • I agree almost completely with the others that have responded here, and I had the same problem when I got started... I recently had some training that would have cut my learning curve into about 25%... dealing with the type of site you have and drilling down to a very fine niche within my target market, and how to reach them, and also some really cool keyword research techs that I can do myself and do very quickly... so finding training to do it yourself I believe is the way to go
  • You said you think keyword research is perhaps the most important part of marketing. So learn it yourself before outsourcing. Get some courses and dive in. Then you will be equipped to evaluate the quality of your outsourcer's work, if you decide you still want to outsource it.

Peter is right; if you don't narrow your focus the going will be tough. MMO is not a niche, nor is "work from home" or bizops. Focus on something specific, like...I don't know "keyword research".

I'm not trying to discourage you or make you think this is hard; it isn't, but you do have to be willing to dig in and learn a bit; that is what will make what now probably seems confusing and daunting, manageable and easy in the near future.

    • I agree with everyone here and it is best to learn first prior outsourcing it so you can tell as well what quality of work you are looking for.
  • I am fine with my knowledge and skills. I was just hoping to have someone to turn to to do this frustrating work. If anyone has recources I would appreciate them. This just so happens to be the most difficult part of Internet Marketing for me, that is why I want to outsource!
  • Well if you are in the US or UK market, you could use a keyword spy tool like Search Marketing Research & Tracking | SpyFu SEM Tools to find out what keywords your PPC competitors have been spending money on. Even if you don't plan on doing PPC advertising, those same keywords are probably the best ones to target for SEO too.

Even with a keyword spy tool I still believe your own thinking is the best keyword research you can produce.
