organic traffic cut in half the day after sending a newsletter

This has happened twice. Both times after extremely steady traffic, the next day the traffic gets cut in half. So I'm down from 800 unique IPs a day to 400, now to 200. Literally smooth for a month and then the next day drops like a rock to half.

My spam rate is about 20 marked as spam out of 2000 opens. I actually didn't even use this domain to send the newsletter. But the newsletter does contain links to this site.

See the image. There's no way this is just 'coincidental'. Smooth then cut in half day after the newsletters, then smooth again.

I thnk it actually is coincidental. How would sending a newsletter
to your list have any bearng on organic search engine traffic?

Absolutely nothing changed about the site. It was steady as you see. Then directly the day after the newsletter was sent, traffic cut in half. I sent a second newsletter, the same exact thing happened the very next day. Nothing else changed. To happen twice and remain steady as you see it is beyond coincidence.... What else could it possibly be?

It's as if google dinged me for getting traffic from somewhere other than them.
