Which one you prefer Most Page rank,domain authority and page authority ? While doing SEO

How to analysis other websites to create the back links to my websites. I mean should i go for PR or should i go for DA, PA. If i go for Page rank then i have seen many sites which have page rank 4 but DA and PA is very low less than 20. and some sites which pr is 1 and DA, PA is more then 40+ . Please give me some advices according to this.

    I tend to put the site into Moz's Open Site Explorer, sort the links by the domain authority of the linking site and then manually check some of these links.

    You can normally judge fairly well how much power a particular site has by doing this - if it has zero links from what I call authority sites then it's no good. If it has a genuine link (not comments, pingbacks, etc) from NASA or the IRS for example then I'm going to give it a lot more respect then if it's "best" link is from some unheard of Web 2.0

    Hello Enuke,

    That was a good ask. If you're visiting the websites for purpose of link building, I would suggest you to look for following factors:
    1. Relevance : How relevant is that website with your niche. Like, linking a travel website to travel forum/blog is better then linking it to a shopping blog.
    2. Page Rank: Look for websites with page rank higher than your website
    3. Quality: Look for websites with Quality content.
    4. Active: Check if the website is active or not.
    5. Link Juice: Check if the website provides a NoFollow or DoFollow Link.
    6. Domain Age: The older the website domain is, the more trustworthy it is considered by search engines.
    7. Alexa Rank.

    i totally agree with kushalmalik..its the accurate reply to your question mate..but if i am to select one factor that stand out the rest.. this would be the PR and dofollow...the higher the PR...the lesser backlinks you will need to outrank your search result competitors...and if these sites are dofollow...they will pass on even more linkjuice..though a mixture of dofollow and nofollow backlinks would help Google look your backlinking very natural...but focus most of the time on site with dofollow functionality!! and of course...as much as u can..start off with low-competitove keywords..its the way to go to start building reputation in Google and the fastest traffic possible!!

      Sorry!! I did not find sufficient answers here , My question is ------if a website have 0 pr but DA and PA is more then 30 , and a website which pr is 4 but DA and PA is less than 20 . Which website you prefer ? Tell me please

      Suppose its a bookmarking website , then which one should i choose

        Honestly, i wouldn't bother much with the PR. it hasn't been updated for a long time and since its not updated for a long ime so it wont be wise to judge a site with just PR. PR, DA and PA are just few metrics to check a site's authority. I generally use to check as many metrics as i can including majestic seo's citation flow and trust flow. Finally do a manual check on the site and how's the latest posts performing on searches. For your question i would prefer the site which have good DA and PA based on good backlink profile both on OSE and Majestic seo.

    0 PR is useless, you should pick the second one as it has a proper balance having both PR status and DA PA. Both the things are important, if you completely miss any 1 of them it's not going to work, so the second site is better for SEO.

    When a site is PR0 with a high DA/PA it mostly only has spammy links.

    But as said before, you have to check the back links instead of only staring blind at stats.

    PR isn't updated for a long time so don't stare yourself to blind at it.

    Still 99 out of 100 times a PR0 with a DA40+ is a heavily spammed domain.

    Or it's a long time dropped one and thus the PR is reset to PR n/a, not PR0

    The best sites to get backlinks from are the ones you don't need to look up to know they are high quality. Don't fuss over pr, da etc. Backlink for traffic, not for backlinks. Eg: reddit.

    Generally speaking, majestic Seo's CF and TF values are what I go by.

    I do however check the back links of a domain which I'm thinking of buying. If the back links come from good quality locations, over time the domain authority will go up as well.

    Nope, PR is a very small part of the puzzle.
