Hi everyone,

My client wants us to start doing adsense for his business, I have no idea about it and need pointing to some course that I can use.

Every course I have seen so far is to build a website to have adsense on it, but my client wants to be on an advertiser.

Please help

  • Its adwords you should be researching for, not adsense.

  • lol, ok right now it all seems the same to me, but I will go and look that up and try and find a course, thanks for helping!
  • Why does your client think that you could provide an adwords management service in the first place? Seems weird that someone would just presume you could do something, unless you had told them you could.

    Did you get caught Catfishing?

Does that client have a wooden spoon?

Why would anyone hire someone that doesn't even know the difference between Adsense & Adwords?

  • Do you guys read? He obviously says he already had this client who is now requesting an additional service. Maybe the client wants to keep working with someone he already trusts instead of taking a chance on someone the client doesn't know.

...or it could backfire when the client realizes he took on a job that he doesn't know how to do or even what it's called. There's no shame in rejecting offers.
  • glpaul is the goto man for that, I hear.

    • Yeah it took me a while, and a re-run of that movie to know what he was saying. But since then, that phrase has really stuck in my head. Its very "catchy".
  • or you guys are jumping on him too quickly, he could very well be just a programmer who helped design/create a website for a client.

and the client asked for an additional service that he don't know that's why he came here to this forum and ask about it.

    • Sure, could be a few other reasons too. But let's put it down to experience, that my first assumption about his situation will be correct 99% of the time.

I do SEO, I don't do Adwords Management. If a client where to ask me "can you do our Adwords Management?" I would say "No I don't know how do that, but I know someone who does, let me get you their number".

I would not go running around looking for some crash course just to be a jack of all trades for them. Honesty, is the first line of trust building in business.

Advertising (Adwords) is a profession in its own right, and if left to any Tom, Dick and Harry with a $27 e-book to do. Could cost a company a shitload of wasted money.

What's BS is when someone ask how to do PPC & later another forum member will act like PPC is easy, it's not easy, it can drain a wallet fast for simple optimization mistakes. IMO PPC is more complicated than organic SEO.
