Home page not visible in Google SERPs

Hi Everybody,

I have a site that almost 1 1/2 years old, for 1 year i did manual link building ( like a rookie ) my site ended up in top - 20 Rank for certain keywords, I wanted to break into Top 10.

I used the Trail Version of GSA SER and created some 200 links with it in 2 or 3 days since then my site jumped to top - 5 Rank.

After 3 days of attaining 5th Rank for two keywords the home page went missing from search results now even after 4 months I can't find my home page in SERP's other pages like testimonials page are there but they are ranked 248 position, so how can i bring back my home page or I have been penalized by google for using GSA SER for 3 days !!!

Guys please provide your thoughts on this one

    That's what happens when a money page is blasted with spammy links.

        Do you use GWT? If so, you could always give the disavow tool a go and play the neg SEO card if you end up in dialogue with Google.

        Once things are back on track you should approach your linkbuilding in more tiered manner where you have a layer of web 2.0 buffers each with original content feeding links to your money site, , then automate building links to the web 2.0's.

          there is an exception to this which i forgot to mention my website home page showed up for a couple of days after i re-designed the entire site with new layout / content but again it went kaput and the testimonials page appeared instead of home page in search results......

    Sounds like you triggered a filter and lost rankings.

    Using tools to automate link building is an easy way to lose rankings these days.

    I would suggest starting with a new domain name and getting it ranked with good quality links.

    You might have used GSA in a negative way , without much information here , it is difficult to say what filter has been triggered. But it is sure that you have been penalized. It could be due to AT concentration or many other reason.
