The Fastest Way to Get to 200 Unique Visitors a Day...?

Hello everyone.

I know SEO takes time, but I'm just wondering...

What's the fastest way to get a new site to 200 unique visitors a day.

This seems like a good number to test conversions with, so it seems like a good goal to set. How long do you think it would take to get to that with a good SEO strategy in place?

  • I can not say to much, but you must be patient, to make more traffic you must enough content more contents more traffic.

    • Hi, I built about 35 sites over the last year or two 10 of which are bloggs populated with cafienated content, checking the stats the bloggs are getting quite a lot of traffic about 3 x more than the money sites. So, have to agree with scmedan. Taking this a step further have bought into a pre made adsence site with 1600 pages. See how that goes, it should prove that content is king for organic traffic.
  • Yes, things can't be rushed....

    1) Keyword research, including your main keywords and longtails

    2) Build your SEO friendly site / blog and add fresh unique content regularly

    3) Add your url to forum signatures, and join in relevant, topical discussions

    4) Write and submit articles which include your resource box. EZA is good.

    5) Start building backlinks everyday. A handful of good links per day is ample. Keep it consistant though.

    6) Plus do other things in order to promote your site.

    7) Repeat steps 1 - 6.

    There's no real science to this, just knowledge and action.

    • Good advice here. Also - yes, have to agree with about rushing.

      Just take your time to add content and things will start working for you. Quality is better than rushing it.

  • write 3 articles per day and in one month you should have at least half of that. Combined with good SEO and keyword research you should be able to hit it pretty quick.

    I also like to use propeller.com and join relevant groups and share my blog posts with thsoe groups. Its a good way to get targeted traffic for FREE

    • I've always thought article marketing would be the quickest way. That's a lot of writing, but I guess it would pay off in the end.

  • It depends on the type of traffic you want.

    There are several techniques you can use that will bring in a lot of traffic in a single day such as creating a good viral linkbait article that gets StumbleUpon and Digg traffic or selecting the right Google Trend to write about. Of course, this traffic doesn't usually convert well and is very short term. However, if you do it enough you'll get additional links that will help you improve long term.

    For long term traffic, it's link building through things like social bookmarking, article submissions, RSS and directory submissions, blog commenting, guest posting on other blogs, forum signatures, and so forth. This takes some time but a good link building campaign with a good niche/keywords should get you to 200 unique visitors a day within a few months, if not sooner.
  • get a viral link-bait article and submit it on to stumble and Digg and see the traffic pouring in also make sure you select broad tags when you are submitting on to stumble.
