Translating previous blogposts into another language

If content is king, would taking the same blogpost and translating it into another language help or hurt me? We are electrical and mechanical contractors with a focus on b2b. My site ranks well, so would Google penalize me or reward me if I took some posts and put them into Spanish, Chinese, Arabic, Russian, Polish, Ukrainian, Hindu, and Vietnamese? These are all the major immigrant demographic groups according to my metro census.
I figured this may allow me to effectively double or triple count my posts for constantly being updated and new. if I had the posts translated by a native speaker, would it fly past the duplicate content dilemma?
