Sitewide no follow link to the product page or have the same sales page with no index?

I have my own product and (of course) it has a sales page. I am making a blog/website in addition to the sales site that is more focused on information than sales. So it will have a lot of pages.

Naturally I am going to promote my product on my info site and link to the sales page/site. This means many pages (if not all pages) have a link or two to the main sales site.

From a SEO perspective, I can see 2 potential problems. One is the site wide links are not good these days, and the second is that if the link is clicked they are leaving the site. I hear a lot about how Google started to see the traffic of the website, and the more I successfully send people to my sales page (on another site), the less time they spend in my information website.

So I thought of 2 ways to avoid this problem - One is to "no follow" the links to my product page. (But it does not help the traffic issue.)

The other is to have a duplicate sales page within the information site/domain, and no-index that page. I thought this option was better (no site wide link to another domain), but I am still not sure
*If it is really OK to have a duplicate page as long as I make it not indexed
*If Google thinks the traffic is within the domain when the page is not indexed

Can anyone give me advice on this?
Thanks!
