High PR Domains With 0 Backlinks?

i'm trying to find some good aged domains. I have a few prospects from godaddy auctions that have decent page rank but when I plug them into Market Samurai, some of them have 0 backlinks. Even some domains that have a PR of 5 have 0 backlinks. What gives?

    Use AHREFs.

    Zero backlinks means BS PR.

      I figured something was wrong but why does Market Samurai show such a high PR and how can I tell if the PR is fake?

  • Yardies nu suppose to use market Samurai fi check backlinks. Dat a fi Japanese. You suppose to use SEO spyglass , Ahrefs or backlink monitor. Wha? You come from foreign? Cho man do betta dan dat.

    But yes if you see no backlinks then its a bad buy. There are plenty of bad high Pr domains out there now because the last update was based on old data and many of the domains already lost the links they had.

      Ahref and magestic seo will demystify these sites. You can check their backlinks from there. If you want to get more detailed, get their backlinks from there and check for page rank plus check the "previous" snapshot of this site in archive.org. If it shows a "different" page, then it's a fake PR. A 301 redirect was probably used to achieve it.

  • High PR with zero backlink is impossible. He's faking the PR.
  • Market Samurai is not trusted enough! To track the backlinks use AHREFs either, or you can get the index backlinks details by using "Link: domain name" (at google). Normally High pr with 0 backlinks is fake PR.

  • Fake PR (not intentional) by redirecting the domain to a domain with PR.

    Eventually the toolbar will update when the site is recrawled and it will be a PR N/A
  • use a fake pr checker Check Page Rank! before you buy any domain. it also gives you how strong the pr really is, so you know that the pr will stick after the next pr update
