  • Once you have published your blog post you can update your social media pages like Facebook, Google, Twitter.

You can then go on to create more content around that post like, videos then submit them to video sharing sites and link back to the specific page.

You can then make small Ebook's going into great detail and submit them to sites like Scribd and link back to your site.

Further more, write some more content and send some of your unique quality content to other sites as guest posts.

Make slideshows for each post you make and publish them on Slideshare then link back to your page.

It would be time consuming but in the long run, you will have more backlinks and more possibilities of driving targeted traffic to your site.

    Social bookmarking works well.

Remember "keyword research" will make or break your site..

It's all about content, content, content

    • I market the blog post as soon as it is made as my industry is very fast in new stuff. I have around 10-15 channels (facebook, twitter etc) that I promote to and it usually takes around 5-10 minutes to get indexed but my domain is "kind of" an authority.

  • Providing helpful, valuable comments on other blogs can be a great way to generate traffic, develop relationships, build a following and add backlinks. If you’ve just finished a blog post on a topic, now is the perfect time to do a quick search to find other blog posts on the same topic.
  • Social Media and Social Bookmarking sites will do the trick. Don't forget to write UNIQUE content only, do not COPY it and preferably with excellent grammar. Article and Forum marketing are great too if you have enough time!

  • As Larryboy03 said guest posting can help drive traffic / links.

I use this tool to help find blogs to submit guest posts to (not my site but useful)

    • I have found that guest posting is the best way to push up the serps. Lot's of link juice is what you want.
  • You have a signature link to your $21,000 a month training course, but you don't know how to get a blog post indexed???

Slideshare is a waste of time as an indexing tool.

  • There are no quick fixes to getting a page indexed. If your site is not already being shared online by your fans or linked from Facebook or other pages, it will take awhile to get any of your posts indexed. Conversely, if you have already shared useful posts (and links from your blog) to Facebook and Twitter and other sites (for the benefit of your fans), your site will get indexed quickly. And, new content will help keep you near the top for your keyword.
  • Create a content and post in your blog is not enough to got ranking for that post in SERP, you need to do some more efforts to put it on the top of SERP such as share your post on your social networking sites and aware the groups of people and communities, related to your posts. Do regular blog commenting related to your niche.
  • Just so you know, I do absolutely ZERO backlink building (excepting guest posting, and backlinks aren't my driving force behind a guest post) and I still consistently rank on the first page for long-tail keywords that have little competition, but a decent amount of traffic.

It's all in the KW research.
