Yahoo Answers and Pinetrest help seo?

Do you think being active on pinetrest and yahoo answers can help SEO and lead people to finding your site online ?


I'm thinking this may be something that can be worth spending time on along with starting a google plus account as well and maybe leaving a few comments here and there regularly in hopes it can pick up.

    Yahoo Answer and pinterest links are nofollow, but they help to build social signal and site authority.
    All social links G+, FB, twitter are also helpful in the same way.

      Yes, you are right. However, to include the nofollow also so it looks natural at Google. Don't only focus on the dollow. Because of the its algorithm.

    I don't know about yahoo answers but i have used pinterest alone to rank my websites and i got good success,
    Just you to make sure that you have lot of images in your article and you have properly SEO your images
    then you pin pin and pin

    yes, google prefffer both do-follow as well as no-follow link as well. Pinterest can help you to get more traffic if your site fully seo optimized. However, Other Social signal like google +, facebook, twitter should be maintain. Regularly share your site with informative content in social media.

    No matter they are NoFollow they could be really helpful... Especially Facebook, Twitter and Yahoo Answers. I can't say that Pinterest is good because the backlinks are NOT using any anchor text... You get a backlink using a picture... But they are effective to get some more TARGETTED visitors!

    Yes, yahoo and pinterest have a higher trust than the majority of .gov and .edu websites. Not to mention they can bring you huge amounts of traffic. Get pinning! Forget about do-follow and no-follow, you should be backlinking for traffic, not for backlinks. I have an ebook i am releasing soon, PM me if you want any other advice.

    Although it is not really directly stated that social media sites like Pinterest and Yahoo Answers can help in SEO and bring in traffic, being active in these sites still helps. Social Media sites are considered to provide a site authority and reputation online. So in a way, yes they can help. You need to balance your SEO with Social media sites in order to really guarantee that you are generating traffic from all avenues possible.

      Yes ofcourse they help in seo. Both gives us nofollow links but we also get traffic from these sites. And both are social networking sites, so we can promote our brand among peoples.

    Yahoo answers doesn't help you with website ranking, it can help you bring traffic but with pinterest you can defenitely get good links that may help improve in the rankings.

    No I don't think it can help in SEO, but both are best for direct and targeted traffic that converts. So who cares? Everyone is looking for sells either it comes from Social Media/ SEO.
