Google Update PR Today?

Did anyone notice a change in there PR score today in the Google toolbar...

Mine went from PR2 > PR3

Or maybe Google is just testing something today...

I don't know, wanted to verify with you all.

    Yup sure did notice that. Sad for me... My PR dropped on 3 of my main domains. Oh well. Such is life!

    I don't really care if or when the PR updates on my sites. Here's why:
    1. PR only effects my sites if I want to sell links. Which brings me to point #2:
    2. Link sales don't make up a siginificant amount of my sites income, therefore I don't waste time with it
    3. PR is constantly changing, and the PR bar is only updated a few times a year. Therefore, I could care less what my PR is.
    4. While PR is a factor in SERP rankings, I believe it to be a very SMALL factor. However Google is mysterious in its ways, therefore there are tons of variables involved in SERP rankings
    5. I here Google is going to be fazing out the PR bar, don't remember where I heard that but it does make sense. What's the point of the PR bar anyways?

    Yea - PR doesn't mean too much, but it's turned into somewhat of a status symbol or a bragging right. "Mine is bigger than yours" type of mentality.

    Plus, some people THINK it means more than it does which can help or harm your reputation in certain ways if your sites are about attracting traffic.

    Google updated the PR score again. Mine went from 3 to 1 and then 1 to 4 and now back to 3 again.

    Yea, truly pagerank is much less important these days, and it is traffic that matters most. If you can't get quality traffic, it doesn't matter what your pagerank is right now.
