I have recently created a forum using MyBB. I now want to add a section where I would add fresh and uniques tutorials for my website to move up in the search engines. There are two options for me:
  1. Use MyBB. Create a Section named "Tutorials" and start posting articles as threads.
  2. Make a wordpress blog, join with my existing forum and start posting articles.
If I choose MyBB, it would be very easy and I'll get enough time to promote the forum. If I choose Wordpress, I would have to do a lot of work. I'll have to integrate my forum's theme with wordpress which might take two days continuously (I know web designing) and integrate the user system, so that if someone logs in either forum or blog, they'll be automatically logged in the other (Half Done) and I will not get much time to promote my forum.
So, which option would you suggest in terms of SEO, user experience and time?
#mybb #wordpress

I don't see any positive to incorporating Wordpress into this if you can accomplish the same thing just using the forum. All you are doing by adding Wordpress is creating a lot more work.

And junk. WP has lousy everything. That's why you need band-aids...er
..um...plugins, to fix the friggin' thing.

Forums can be quite good at having up to date stuff, like tutorials.

I'd say at least 50% of the time when looking for info, tips, tutorials,
etc., I get a forum #1 in SERPS.

No. Big myth that Google loves Wordpress. It's all how you set it up.

Lol, I love it when people rip on WP.

Ground control to Major Tom, WP runs on templates (HTML/PHP), it's whatever you make it.

OP, that MyBB runs on templates just like most CMS, make the template do whatever you want. If you can't code, hire someone that can.
