If the answer is yes, has anyone done it and seen good results? Just wondering if I can piggyback high PR the same way you would with ezinearticles, goarticles, etc.

Thanks!

I works in exactly the same way. If you write a really good PR then you will also get a lot of traffic from them as well as building your links up.

I have a list of pr sites to submit to on my worksheet in my sig.

Yes, if you submit a press release you can get some great links to your website (and traffic) - it's a rarely talked about way to get some great links

Writing press release about an important event can bring you many, many visitors and the backlink from a respected site to yours is a good boost to your SEO efforts. The tricky part is that you cannot release press releases if there is nothing newsworthy.

    Not only can, should...

I've had press releases "stick" top 5 in Google for years at a time.

They're well worth the trouble of not only writing well, but distributing well.

Getting your press release included in google news section pays a lot in terms of quality backlinks. There are a few free press release sites that distribute its news to google ealier than before. newdesignworld.com is one free press distribution site which publishes the news instantly and is taken into google news in next few hours.

I agree, I've seen many of my press releases on the first page of Google for months. I try and do a few of the social bookmarking sites for each press release, as well as add it to my site (makes your business look legit if you can show press releases). I only use the free press release sites found here.
