I know this question does not seem specific, but please let me know how do you rank sites these days?

I post only original and quality content
I do quality links
I do guest blogging on good sites
I don't use any kind of likes like reciprocal, spam, paid and so on

But several days ago my sites has been dropped.

Many of my competitors have been dropped?

What do you think about affiliate/cpa links on sites? Are they a negative factor? Many of my competitors don't have these.

Is this ranking for only one keyword? Or you see LESS visitors for ALL keywords? Also, did this only happen in Google? What about other SE's... Also, check for bad backlinks online, there are some tools that will be able to help you, just search for some of them!

Lol of course not! I carefully build links using tools such as magic submitter, I found it just as important to have a very important social media engagement for each article I post. I use programs like tribepro. I also have a pretty big twitter account that share my content. More and more I'm finding social media is playing a huge role.

Yeah, I agree with this approach ^ I try to 'Google-Proof' my websites.

That and whatever Pat Flynn recommends, do the opposite.

In other words, when a practice becomes too well known and replicated Google apply filters.

We've seen that time and again.

No one will be ready to share their secrets publicly, so its of no use here. Everyone will just give a blunt answer which you'll never understand, so instead you yourself try, test and create your own strategy.

Quality content with very close attention to "theme words" (Google keyword planner is great for this)

Links from high-quality blogging sites related to my industry - I will email the blogger and ask them to name their price. If its within my budget - we do a deal.

Internal linking is also very important.

Website Creation - if there is a niche that is profitable enough and has enough demand - I will create a new site for it. In the long run, it can be cheaper and less time consuming that trying to SEO an existing site for a particular area.

Dogged Persistence and constant learning are also helpful.

I get people offering me money to place a link in my YouTube videos. You could always ask people with high traffic videos to do it for free, or pay them money if its related to your niche. Maybe even ask them to include an annotation saying to click on link below video to visit website.

Aside from that, I don't think anyone is going to give away there best SEO tips.

Diversification on first place. Point Blank has a great article about it. CLICK

Build your link on various ways, with various methods, and don't just ask for a link.

How can you do that? Examine your competitors. I use MajesticSEO (paid membership) and SEO Powersuite pro version. You can also do it manually although it needs more time.

But before you do anything, you need to perform a through a detailed keyword research, to know what keywords can be more lucrative than the others.

I can't stress enough how is proper keyword research important for SEO. Don't believe some Gurus when they say "I don't like to bother with keyword research". Yep, maybe they don't but they surely have some outsourcing guy who provides juicy keyword list to the "Guru"

Good way to learn about thorough keyword research is Becker's Blog.

Go on building natural link building. Diversification of anchor texts, naked urls, generic keywords like click here, visit here. And also from diversified sites (links from all relevant sources like directories, social bookmarking, blogs, forums etc).
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[8949762].message }}

It can be anything, Google dance for example

Or you should check where are your main backlinks come from then examine that website(s) thoroughly. See the number of outbound links, is the website relevant for your niche, etc.

Diversify anchor text and also pages on your website where you link from, don't link only to your home page. Diversify tactics - find niche quaqlity forums, heck even yahoo answers. Although they are not great quality, they will give you additional link juice and more visits, believe me.

Guest posts only on relevant websites with low OBL, and small amount of guest posts already published on them.

sneaky tactic, which is not a secret but somehow most of the people don't do - spy on your competitors, see where their backlinks come from. Then ask the owners of same websites for a backlink. Offer them quality content. It is more woth of a time if you spend whole day to thoroughly examine one quality website and get in contact with blog owner, offering him something valuable, content which he doesn't have on his website...then to spend a day making useful low value backlinks

I use majesticSEO (paid) and SEO Power suite (pro) for finding competitor's backlinks. They are both worth every buck spent.
