How I got a Youtube Playlist Ranking on Google Page 1 with 0 Backlinks

I happened to be searching a keyphrase I'm generally interested in in Google and saw my own youtube playlist for the term coming in at No: 7 on Google page 1 SERPS. Checking again through google ad preview tool get same results. Doing a quick search on WF I can't see anyone talking about ranking youtube playlists.

This playlist uses the search keyphrase in the playlist title, 156 characters in the description with the search keyphrase at the end and 11 videos all relevant to the topic. Checking ahrefs and majesticseo I can't see a single backlink to the playlist. It is PR 2. Interestingly if I do a search in youtube itself the playlist isn't in the top 10 results.

Thought I'd throw this out there to see if anyone else is getting good Google SERP results using youtube playlists compared to individual videos.

I worked for countless clients in Youtube marketing. My experience suggests that, yes it helped once while my competitors were weaker with their contents and optimization.

With this respect, I have some suggestions for the new marketers.

Create a new playlist naming the targeted keyword. Then put your two videos at the first then put one from the most viewed video in terms of that keyword in YouTube search results. You will get ranking plus extra Views and Subscriptions

Thanks Danzar, I'll play with that tip of yours. I was thinking the best way to monetise this method would be to try place one of my own youtube videos in the playlist with an affiliate/website link built into the video description section.
