but here it goes.

I have the term hxxp://www.WeddingJewelry.com that gets approximately 12,000 exact matches on google.com at approximately 1.30 per click.

If I were to put up a blog, how much can I expect to make a month with good content?

Would you hire some one to run the blog and split 50/50?

Thanks in advance.

That depends on way too many things. If you can rank well for a lot of terms there is definitely money making potential there. I'd imagine it is pretty competitive so expect a fair bit of work and a long to make some coin!

How long is a piece of string? Nobody can tell you how much money you will make. It depends on what you do with the knowledge you have gained.

It depends upon how you promote your website and from where your visitors are coming to your site.

Nobody in their right mind would do that. If they can run the entire blog, they can go out on their own & make 100% of the profit.

I am banking on the domain name. I have been offered lots of money for it (above $50k) and was just wondering if a blog would be as good as selling the jewelry itself.

I know people can have their own sites, but good luck finding a name as easy to remember.

If you were offered that much for just a domain then I would take it and run. Domain names are overrated as far as SEO goes, for a big company it's important though because they not only want to win with Google but have brand recognition.

No one to tell you the real number but if you focus on quality content then may be it's 100 worth for you.

      Sorry.
I am not understanding your reply.
Are you saying I may be able to make as much as $100 from it?
If yes, is that a day, week, month, year?

If you don't know what you're doing, take the $50k and move on.

Nobody can answer how much you'll make without any idea of how you plan on monetizing the site. Are you selling jewelry or are you going to put up Adwords ads?
Are you actually ranking for keywords or just having a nice domain with nothing done to it?

Just having a domain name registered and asking "how much will I make" will get you no real answers. It all depends on what you do with it and how much work you put into it.

You could make $1000/day on it, or 2c a day on it, depending on how good your content is and what your monetizing method is and how much traffic you really get.

If someone offered me $50K for a domain name only, I would have sold out ASAP.

Good grief, you don't even show up in Google SERPs for the EMD keyword (wedding jewelry).

I think people are misunderstanding OP here.

The OP is wondering how much he can expect to make if he builds a website himself on his domain (which could be a tonne if he does rank it for its term). He has made no effort to rank it yet Yukon, just uploaded a theme. It is a hypothetical question he is asking.

Normally, i don't answer hypothetical questions, but i think that you could expect to make between $10k and $50k a month, depending on how you used the website (if of course you actually managed to rank it).

And i would find someone who knows how to rank that domain or someone who rights great content (maybe both) and split the profits 50/50, because your partner gets to piggyback of a great domain.

Looks like OP has no intention on ranking either, he wants someone else to do all the work for 50% cut, which makes no sense. If another person can rank a page for the keyword (wedding jewelry), they don't need OP.

The EMD doesn't even show up out of 1,000 SERP positions, usually a default WP install will do better than that, even If it's SERP position #793 (lol).

    It's impossible to say.

You could make $10 per month or $10,000 per month. It depends on what you do, how you do it, and how much of it you do.

If someone was to do ALL the work of running it, they'd probably want a lot more than just 50%.

No one can tell you the number.

Tip - Next time you feel a keyword is worth a try, don't post it on any public forum.

OP doesn't have to worry about extra comp. from this forum, he's already got plenty of organic SERP comp. with a keyword like wedding jewelry, including PPC ads at the top of the SERPs 8 pages deep.
