Youtube Pros, HELP! Safe search blocking my videos

After searching the internet for hours, I'm coming here hoping someone can help.

My son creates animated videos and monetizes them with Adsense. One of his videos has gotten 1.5 mln views and is getting about 20K views per day. It's about Spongebob, so it's a clean video.

He has 3 additional videos - the latest one is another cartoon/animation video that is perfectly clean.

However, when you look at "videos" tab on his channel, you can only see that one Spongebob video when the safe search is on. When it's off, you can see all of them in recent uploads.

He is missing out on income and I can't get any help.

I just called Youtube partner support (which the channel qualifies for due to high volume of traffic) and he said he doesn't know anything about that and can't help.

I tried deleting all tags and descriptions in videos thinking that maybe there is a word triggering it. The videos do not have age restriction enabled. I thought that maybe somebody flagged the other videos, but this last one was just uploaded and it's not showing right away.

Anybody has any ideas?

Thanks

Katerina

It's possible someone maliciously tagged the videos as having adult content. Have you checked all the video comments for signs of trolling? Maybe someone made comments of an adult nature and the entire video got flagged by a user based on a comment not the video content.

I don't think anyone uses those settings except for parents, and
      probably quite few in number.

      Nobody is losing any revenue.

You either get it or you don't. Nothing lost.

You might make a few pennies less, but highly doubtful of
      "losing" revenue.

Nobody in a house with safe search on is going to be a target of
      any revenue like that anyway.

There is nothing you can do if youtube's algo thinks it should be
blocked in safety mode. They err on the side of caution.

Tons of people are now using the mobile youtube app. You have
to dig to actually put that in safe search. So even that adds to
the nonissue of what you are worried about.

Remember that any safe search is not going to be perfect. Anything
can trigger a block. Animated videos might get even more scrutiny.

But I do YT for adults, not kids who have militant parents. I could care
      less about those.

      • I really appreciate your answers.

The problem is that he is making $30/day with just one video. He worked for couple months on this video and it's really amazing, so it went viral. For a 16 yr old kid, $30/day residual income is pretty good money.

However, yesterday, we uploaded a test video to his channel that has a slide show of cars with music. No tags, no comments, nobody could have flagged it yet - it was hidden from the minute it was uploaded. So it's almost like whatever goes to his channel, gets hidden.

Here is the link to the video - . This is not selling anything, I'm just showing how it's impossible that it could be considered unsafe.

Now, the problem with the safe search is that these videos are mainly about cartoons and animated video effects, so kids are the main group that makes them go viral. One of the videos about gravity just won a nationwide video contest where the director of the movie "Gravity" picked him as a winner and they are flying him to LA for a weekend. So adults get to see them too. I know a lot of adults who put safe search on just not to see the junk that's out there (even though they can turn it off at any time).

I'm just trying to figure out if he was singled out somehow to block the whole channel and if there are any solutions to this.

        Thank you.
