Should a Squeeze Page have SEO?

I was wondering if anyone uses SEO for small Squeeze Pages for Opt-ins.

If you do not, what are some others ways you are sending traffic to your page?

  • Yes you should use SEO for your squeeze page, you want people to find it right? Do your keyword research, even register a domain name base on the offer you giving out. Treat the squeeze page as if it was a regular blog or website when it comes to getting traffic, and SEO is one of the tools for doing so.

      I've never seen a squeeze page rank on the first page of Google. Ever.

  • The best way you can do is find other people who is promoting other products which we called ads swap in this way you can easily get more traffic which you are helping each other in promoting the product.   • hum.....my honest opinion is that you don't should waste money ranking a squeeze page. Try to send solo ads insead or pay for Facebook Ads or guess blog posts but not SEO.

    Well, this is only my opinion.

    As JRSWrites said, I've never seen on a 1st Page (not spot nº 1) a landing page/squeeze page.

  • I guess i am looking at it from a web designer/developer point of view. If i am creating a squeeze page and the purpose is to bring people to it should i not be using all avenues, solo ads, ppc, seo etc. Why not use SEO on it? Doing SEO on that one page site can continue to bring you leads on the Internet forever, long after your ppc and solo ads. When you create a squeeze page, and you create a video on youtube with the right titles for keyword optimization and you point people to your squeeze page is that not part of SEO?

    • Because you won't be able to rank it, so it is pointless to waste your time trying to do so. Your entire focus with a squeeze page should be to get the conversion - so depending on the call to action that could mean to submit an opt-in form, call a phone number, or even just click on a link.

      The only exception might be for an offline marketing situation where there is almost no competition. In that case you might be able to get some extra keywords on the page without sacrificing the conversion rate too much.

  • Why not? It's not like you wouldn't want people to find it if possible. I guess you have to make sure that any additions you would make don't negatively effect the conversion rate of the page.
  • consider seoing those pages more benefits than not doing anything at all.
