How Long Does A Google PPC Campaign Take To Go Live?

I set up my first PPC Campaign this morning and its still not live as far as I can see... how long does it take usually?

    Your account being new, it's possible that it was sent to manual approval queue. Manual approval can take up to 48 hours or sometimes even more from what I've seen, that's why I try to avoid that if possible.

    But it may not necessarily be it. Go to your keywords list in Adwords and see the status (lil magnifying glass icon), what does it say? Also does it state first page bid estimate and do you bid enough to pass it?

    Also check your keywords in Google (or ad preview tool) and see if your ads show up - maybe they are low traffic and people are yet to search them. Also consider your ads, do they meet Google's guidelines? If you use certain words in your ads like superlatives, prices, discount statements, or words that may imply copyright infringement, that can trigger the ads to be put in a queue for manual approval. You can play with different ad variations and if that's what's happening, it should be easy to come up with an ad that escapes it.

    Some times your first account is manually reviewed...it may take a day or two. After that, it will be nearly instant.
