Hey Guys,

I want to know that if i make my url shorten by URL Shortener, so will i get any backlink if i will post my shorten url to any blog or website for backlink.??

Recently i have posted my url to many of social network sites. but i have shortened the main url.. so will it give me backlink or i am not going to get any backlink with shortened url..?

Please let me know.

Search engines do track these short URL's and they know which website these URL's redirect to. Most of them won't count as link juice but they do add up as "social signals" - which is a big factor for the search engines to determine rankings nowadays. Apart from the NUMBER of social signals, search engines also look for the 'authority' of the profile that tweeted/posted your website link.

Use short url in blog & social media sharing.... Generally we use short url due to lack of word limits or having long url.
