Problem with website after Google Update November.

I discovered that one of our sites plummeted from #1 spot to page 7 for our main search term after the November Google update. So I started looking at the links and found several site wide links that our old SEO guy has put as Negative SEO (he now works for a competitor)! Unrelated to our niche and all with same keyword.

In the past 2 months, I have requested the link removal and then submitted in mid December a disavow file in Google Webmaster tools. Now I need to build quality links, but how can I check what the SERP is? What tool is best to check SERP??

Any ideas??

Be sure that you worked on removing all low quality and toxic links.

I highly doubt that the few site wide links were the issue.

The "few" site wide links totalled 1,300 out of a total of 4300 links...so not just a few....

      Thanks for the comment though.

You can try using SERPFox.com - registration free with first 10 keywords, and it's pretty accurate!
