A number of my sites have been negative SEO'd

A number of my sites have been negative SEO'd, especially in one niche. But also in other niches.

It could have been from a competitor/s, or someone I irritated on the WF when I said I would not help further in a private p.m., when I found out what kind of site he had. He posted in the thread for my help, so I said the same thing publicly as to why I would not work with him.

These have backlinks from .ru sites for the most part. Porn, meds and unrelated junk sites.

As I understand it, before using google's disavow tool I am supposed to contact these sites personally. I don't speak that language and don't want to visit porn sites either.

My funds are limited at this time as well, so don't want to pay someone to do the work either.

Do you have any suggestions for me? Thanks.

    This is really sad to hear but this happens very rarely. Most of the time we ourselves make the mistake of using free tools to build links; so did you try any such tools for link building?

    Now to fix it the only way is to get in touch with Admin but it will be a painful task to do it for multiple links. You might have to hire someone or might need some friendly help from a SEO specialist who can help you guide you on this.

      Hi Nicole, no, It was not me that generated these kind of links. I have been doing IM for a long time. I don't use free tools. It is happening more than most people realize.

    You can be proactive and disavow the links as they appear in GWT. NSEO is on the rise and far from rare as a previous poster alluded. I'm in niches where my site and the entire top ten are been NSEO'd and it is a very advanced and complex type of NSEO.

    I highly doubt it is the person you refused help too!
