Does language matter?

Hi Warriors,

I am thinking using backlinks to boost search engine ranking of my website. However, the language of my website is not English and I guess the backlinks are all from English pages (backlink services).

I am wondering if it's still good for me to use backlink service? Has anyone tried the same thing before?

  • The best is to use the same language with your own sites. But you never know since we are not Google.

  • I believe backlinking would work best if linking sites are of the same criteria -same language and product market orientation.

    We just never know if google translates and matches an english keyword from a linking site to a linked foreign site's keyword in that foreign language.
  • There are other important factors besides language: domain tld, data center location(where is your website hosted?).
