Newbie--What Do You Think Of My SEO Plan?

I recently created an Amazon review site for kitchen appliances (25 reviews on the site so far, and I'm adding to it as I go). Here's my SEO plan so far:

Content is lightly optimized (using the main two or three keywords once or twice in the article and other variations a few times throughout) to avoid over-optimization penalties.

I created a Facebook group (with about 800 bot likes from Fiverr--I read that this was helpful but am doubtful about that and obviously open to opinions) as well as accounts on Twitter, Google Plus, LinkedIn, and Delicious. Whenever I post a new review, I immediately link to it from these profiles.

I'm writing articles for Web 2.0 sites like Squidoo, Tumblr, Wordpress, etc. I have a whole list and am working my way through it. Linking to my review article as well as a related Wikipedia page in every article. I'm using different anchor text every time, except where I'm using the URL as anchor text.

I'm creating videos quickly summarizing each review with Animoto and posting them to Youtube. Linking to the review with the site URL as anchor text.

I'm commenting on cooking, product review, and healthy living (some of my reviewed products are blenders and juicers, so this seems like a natural thing to do) blogs and linking back to my site--usually through the "my website" link that uses the commenter name as the anchor text. I'm varying the names and making sure to add real value by asking questions, giving opinions about products, posting recipes and tips, etc.

So far, that's it. I'm concerned about doing anything too spammy and getting penalized. After about a month, I'm getting 10 visitors per day. That could obviously be a lot more, so I'll continue to build links and add content.

Any suggestions at all would be appreciated. Thank you so much! I've been lurking for a while now and am proud to make my first post.

You can add some Press release posts and create your own Private blog network

I'll definitely add some press releases. How beneficial is a private blog network? They look pretty expensive based on what I'm reading.

Reviews on physical products are perfect because you can monetize from ads and affiliate commissions. Where is your 10 daily traffic coming from? If it's mostly coming from search engines I would focus on that, or if it's video, focus on videos. It's easy to try to do a bit of everything and not focus on what's really driving ROI, and the best use of your time.

If they are "mundane" / regular reviews SEO traffic will probably be your best ally, but if your writing is unique and is "shareable worthy" then social media will be your biggest win. The animoto videos probably aren't adding much value to the end user but if it's driving traffic and automated it helps with referral traffic and SEO benefits (links in video description).

Don't forget about forums too. Signup to mom based forums, home and kitchen repair ones and add it to your signature section for seo/referral traffic as well.

Press releases will certainly add a ton of benefit to your SEO efforts.

In terms of a private blog network - you can either shell out $$$ or create your own. Now, that sounds like a mammoth task, but forums such as WF are the perfect 'hub' for you to ask questions and collect the required information.

This will save you a lot of cash in the long-run.

      Good luck!

Most of my views are coming from search engines right now. The videos are primarily for SEO benefits, but they've given me a couple views.

Press releases and forum links are in the works now and I'll start working on the private blog network. Thank you for your advice!

Focus on the search engines, with backlinks and social network signals. It's easier to identify what you should focus on once it's said aloud / written down, so kudos to you.

I would highly suggest not creating your own private network unless you are a marketing agency selling to clients or other agencies. It's very expensive and you won't get ROI using for yourself only.

There are tons of other ways to build links and until you've exhausted them you shouldn't jump into advanced techniques like this.
