I'm wondering why Google not clearly saying that hey stop wasting your time on SEO as we don't like it, instead spend your money on PPC and make us rich quickly.

I also agree with you, We are really wasting our time and money on SEO ,instead if we focus on social media ,it will be much better for us

I believe they changed it a while ago, at least several months ago or so.
Matt Cutts even did a video about widget links back then.
