There are so many SEO services out there, if I can I would do it myself but makes it difficult to focus on getting clients as well. What services are worth paying/outsourcing? No more link building, spammy comments, and useless directory listings. I would pay someone to manage guest blog post on other good quality sites but I don't think this is a common service.

Guest posting in my experience has been the most legit way to get authority status, massive link power and directly targeted traffic. It'll never come under fire from G as it is always quality content with relevant back link. Hit me up if you want details or any help organising something.

I think that you're right to identify guest posting as a good way to build strong, contextual links.

The main problem here is that there are plenty of people offering guest posting services. Most of them, however, actually seem to be building links on poor quality sites, many of which appear to be under their control.

I disagree with one of the statements above, where it is suggested that Google will never demote those who use guest blogging. If you're making use of poor quality blogs and don't apply the necessary caution, then you're heading for trouble.

As a result, we've tended to carry out guest blogging in-house. That's worked out cheaper for us, although I would certainly be interested to hear other views on truly quality services that may exist. The reality is that great quality links do tend to be expensive, as you would expect.

I have to disagree, you can find hundreds of guest posting providers all over the internet. Just go to google and search for "guest posting service"; I am sure the results will be flooded with organic and many adverts.

However, what's uncommon is; a legit guest posting service which goes through all the traditional procedures of reaching out to blog owners for a guest post. Most services/ even big guest posting companies post guest articles to blog farms. So, it is always advisable to research for the few who provide a legitimate service.

i agree with all the comments. I see that there are a lot of paid and free guest blog post exchange but most I find very shady. How do I go about hiring someone/company that would do a good job and manage getting the blog post on legit sites?

Don't like to work with cheap shady companies that get your post on tons of illegit sites. It will hurt your reputation.

I have two good writers. Tried hiring someone to manage guest blog post and tried to train my VA to do it and no success.

If you are looking to hire someone for this job, then you should look into his earlier samples and decide. Once you think you have found the right person, then start with a small order (2-3 guest posts); see how it goes. If it goes well, then you may continue working with him.

To run a successful guest posting campaign, one should have a strong control on 2 things.
        1. Creating content which is RESOURCEFUL (this is very important, otherwise it is not possible to get your article published)
        2. Outreaching relevant websites in the niche

If these 2 processes are not a problem for you; then you shouldn't have a problem in your guest posting campaign.

In present no one would recommend you directory and link exchange. Guest blogging is giving good result but it should be in high pr sites. Sometimes guest blog also help in lead generation. SEO's analyze the sites and market after that they create the strategies for promotion. No one can tell you the 1 thing in SEO industry that give your results. They perform lots of activity for marketing.

Funny how people suggest Guest posting as a best way to get links. Obviously, it's a good way to build your brand, get referral traffic etc, but for SEO? Google has already announced that they will take a deeper look into the guest posting.

They are specially aiming services that offer guest posts on X sites for X people for X money. If you want to stay in 2013, sure go ahead.

Adding meta tags? Yeah sure, you really should have unique meta description on each page, but that's not something you should need to outsource. If you've got a decent CMS that's something you can handle yourself. If you don't, get one.

Backlinking is something I might outsource myself, but I'd stay far away from most vendors who're offering guest posting. Most of guest posting is spam, and Cutts of Google was right to call it out. Of course, link spamming such as blasting links to blogs or "web 2.0" sites is something you'd want to avoid too.

I guess there has to be someone who's facilitating real guest posting - finding good matching sites and interests, introducing authors to each other, helping to write quality content, etc. I haven't seen that offered on sites such as WF, but I'd imagine that PR agencies or big SEO companies might do something like that.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

      What's your excuse?
