How quickly can I point a link from my PBN domain to my money site?

Hi All,

I have just purchased a domain relevant to my niche for my private blog network and I've added about 10 pages of content over the last few days. My question is, how long do I have to wait before pointing a link from this site to my money site? If I do it too soon will Google devalue the link?

  • Best to wait at least 4 years. You'll need a DMoz listing also before you can point outbound links to anything.

    • I've actually found it better to wait 8 years.. this way you can be sure that all the algorithm updates have been fully panned out. A DMoz listing is good to get beforehand too, but I always make sure to call them and personally ask them to add your site. This will help speed up the submission process.

    Whenever your ready to rank, point the link at the money page.
  • I am going to assume (risky, I know) that you actually want this site in your PBN to have value to you for linking out. I don't have time to go into great detail but here is a short hand version of what I would do if it were me. Others will have their own ideas of what works.

    Has the site you have added to your PBN been indexed yet? If, not add some more content while you are waiting. Have some of that content contain link to what would be considered authority sites in your niche (one link per post if it is a blog). Point just a few FB likes and tweets to that content with the "authority" link.

    Wait a couple of days. Now add the link to your main site inside some other new content. FB and tweet that as well.

  • Come on it's not that stupid a question. This PBN stuff looks dodgy, it's more or less impossible to make it look natural. People just don't link to websites anymore, especially in my niche.
  • As long as your network get indexed. You can link to other then.
