Very good writing and enjoyable / funny first post about the political parties

BUT, from an SEO perspective it's going to be difficult to get traffic unless you optimize your posts based on what people might be searching. You need a combination of a catchy headline + keywords.

"Gypsy no More"
as a title is interesting, but probably would be better served for social media marketing. I would add a social sharing option on your site. I had social slick plugin but it was blocking text on mobiles/Ipads so I had to deep 6 it.

You'll want to keep comments on for engagement but get Askimet and donate a couple bucks a year for it (well worth it).

You should include an image at the top of your blog post, and create a pinterest account. This way you can pin each new post you create. Helps with social and SEO. Same with other networks: twitter, facebook, google+.

If you want the blog to focus heavily on you and your opinions Youtube could be your biggest ally. Get over the fear of being on video and state your case. You'll be loved and hated, but you'll be relevant.

Try to create amazing content, and update your site's wordpress theme (plain now). Can add a custom graphic / logo to the site and eventually try to get into Google News, which will help your SEOed titles to get found easier on breaking news or your commentary to recent events.
