Does having more backlinks will outrank competitors?

does having more backlinks than our competitors (in any keyword), can we possibly outrank them in Google search result?

    Well it depends; No doubt back links is crucial aspect for getting higher search rankings, but you can outrank your competitors with fresh qualitative content, higher page authority, domain authority and niche base targeted inbound links.

      I agree with this, mikest4u! Although you could pump backlinks out like crazy and rank for a while but you always want quality over quantity. Get good, fresh content out there for yourself!

    It depends upon the competition of Industry. If you dealing the low competitor industry then, you can rank but high competitors industry you need good, quality and perfect on page optimize website to rank better then others.

    Depends. If you don't care about any potential long term issues, hammering a site with links can shoot it near the top pretty fast.

    However, you really need to spend time learning what it takes to rank. The biggest is being able to research your competition and make sure it's even worth your time to try.
