I have previously used blogger for blogging, but now I want to start professional blogging. But I have a limited budget. I know installing Wordpress on a shared hosting would be best for me, but that would cost more.
I have read about Rapidpress from Name.com....
1. I wanted to know is it OK to start my blog on it.
2. Name.com hasn't mentioned how much traffic Rapidpress can handle, does any one has any info on that?
3. Can I use affiliate links & ads on rapidpress?
4. Will I face any issues while moving my blog at a later stage to a proper self hosted wordpress when my traffic increases?
5. Does Rapidpress offers same flexibility as wordpress, or I would rephrase "Is rapidpress same as a wordpress blog managed by name.com for me"?
6. Does it affects site SEO in any way?
7. I have heard people saying that you should never buy hosting & domain from same website. What's your say on that, will name.com be reliable in my case?

I know this is my fiirst post & it might be a lot...but I have been doing SEO on blogs for almost a year now, so I have basic knowledge of most things, if anyone can help me here, then it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

RapidPress seems to be customized and somewhat limited WordPress install, but it's still WordPress. You've got no FTP access, but that probably doesn't matter much if you're just starting a blog.

You should really ask Name.com how much traffic it can take, but blog that's just starting out shouldn't be a problem for most shared hosts. Hosting shouldn't affect SEO that much as long as the server is fast enough.

You should avoid purchasing domains from small web hosts because they can go under and take the domain with them. If you're still doing that make sure that the domain is in your name. Name.com isn't one of those small players - their parent company is also the parent company of Enom, one of the biggest and most famous domain resellers.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?
