If you post a same or similar listing from a e-commerce website onto a ebay listing could it cause duplicate content to google or is ebay not counted in the same way?

Thanks

I don't think it would be duplicate, Let's say you're selling Samsung Smartphone and its features will be same on all websites right? But it doesn't cause duplicate content problem.

I used my website images on e-bay once, Google recognized them as e-bay pictures and clicking on the "visit page" button, went to e-bay. My images did not display a second time, so there was no link to my page.... it was treated as duplicate content.

Also if your going to use the same words on ebay as your own page, it is likely your website will be omitted form the search results, and e-bay will take your spot.

Basically duplicate content will be treated as such.
