Is It Possible For A Video To Be Sandboxed Or De indexed For Too Many Quick Backlinks?

by nf2458 9 replies
I had a video climbing up pages on google that I wanted to rank for. I increased the amount of links it gets and I no longer see it on any of the pages of google. The video used to appear on page two but since its gone im starting to think I sent too many backlinks to it. What could the problem be?

Could be. Probably is. But can't really tell or even guess without knowing a lot of other information about your video and exactly what you blasted it with. etc, etc. ...
Try making another video, similar to first and not blasting with crappy links.

Hardly. Backlinks to a "video," are essentially backlinks to youtube.

Now if you bought views and other such nonsense, it could
have a drastic effect on it.

You should learn how to properly promote a video. Youtube likes
        viral.

People don't see many videos on google to begin with. The vast majority
of video searching is done, well, on youtube. Go figure.

I blasted it with gsa. I've ranked several "youtube videos" like this one on page one of google but I dont know what went wrong with this one. However when I put the keyword in quotes "" I see it on page one. Is that a good sign that it is not sandboxed or de indexed. Also should I stop trying to rank this video and just re uploaded a different one without blasting it? Thanks

So do you think I should drop using gsa for my youtube videos even if I've had success with it before? Im confused.

Your ranking a web page not the actual video, so every possible scenario that has an impact on a web page applies, that includes blasting junk links.

The video thumbnail image you see in the SERPs attaches to the web page (in the SERPs), the page itself ranks just like any other web page.

Thanks for the reply, Yes it was a YouTube video. What do you think I should do. Is the video dancing around or should I change its keywords a bit or re upload it?

Ive got several that I've done identical strategies with. One disappeared from Google about a month ago, but still #1 on youtube search. The others are still page 1 Google. About to just reupload and start over with this one.
