hello guys,

I thought it was all normal that my backlinks do not show since I have read everywhere that it can take up to 3 months.

however... I have now found a site that is within my niche... which started 4 days ago... and I can see already all their backlinks on the ahref site!!
when i check my own, i get this: No results for specified domain/URL in Ahrefs index.

and similar for any other free backlink checker site...

Please, I am afraid something is really badly wrong what could this mean? Help would be greatly appreciated!!!

    • WTF man? Ahrefhs is very much a paid service. Their free account is pretty useless.

They're one of the companies that does massive spidering and collects their own backlink data. Which is why it might be different from Google, or Majestic, or Moz, or your backlink checker.
  • ok, but i cant find backlinks anywhere... and why a website that is started 4 days ago is showing all the backlinks on ahref (or at least a few of them)... could it be that my site is nog getting indexed due to some error??
  • There are two types of backlinks are 1.Dofollow and nofollow. if links are do follow then they have show there effect definitely.
  • okay, but I have built many do follow backlink (since I am aware of this). and nothing shows... so what does that mean..??
  • What's the site?
AHREFS does not show all the links anyway. Majesticseo shows even less and takes more time to crawl the internet (and refresh it's index/archive).
  • Who cares? As long as Google finds the links, that is all that matters.

If another site's links are showing up in Ahrefs faster than yours, that just means they probably have links on much more popular sites than the sites where your links appear. They are crawling those sites much more often.

  • Not all backlinks will show for these reasons (amongst others):
    • The private crawlers like Ahrefs may not have crawled them yet
    • Private crawlers may be banned by the site's robots.txt files
    Don't worry.

Unless you're doing something spammy, things will happen. Just give it time.
  • great.. i hope its all ok ill just try to be patient thanks!
