Yes there are "still" profitable niches and new ones coming up all the time.
There are many ways to go about finding niches and seo on pages isn't necessarily the best way for some niches. Seems like you need to do a search in the forums for a bit then come back with more specifics on your question.

You'll hear this over and over again, and there's a reason for it: start with a niche that you're interested in or at least know a fair bit about. It will become much easier for you when you then get down to the fundamentals of driving traffic, creating content, etc.

So many niches can be monetized, and in many different ways. So start with what you know, and then go about finding how to earn from it.

I agreed with Shaf5280 there are still profitable niche and there are many ways to rank your site on google. When you start to work on any niche you need to have much knowledge about it, I refer you to select niche according to your interest.

You can still make money using niches (needless to say. but there, I said it...). However, you'll have to do a bunch of work....RESEARCH WORK! I would say, this is probably more important than even creating the product itself. So, you must become an expert at finding out if there is a market for your product or service BEFORE you produce it.
