Domain forwarding or move the site? Which is best for my scenario?

Ok so here is my scenario:

I have an established website on my domain which is a brand(mine)

But that domain name does not have relevant keywords in it.

Now I have another domain name with my original domain+keyword.

example: originalbrand.com vs originalbrand+keyword.com

I currently forward originalbrand+keyword.com to originalbrand.com

My question(?) is this: In order to get the keyword advantage would it be better to move the entire site to originalbrand+keyword.com and forward my old domain to new?

Or is forwarding the domain ok?(It is forwarded through my domain seller)

Thanks in advance.

P.S. I consistently rank on page two of relevant searches for the keyword I'm targeting. Naturally I'm trying to get to page 1.

P.P.S. originalbrand.com(not actual name btw) is 5 years old, and originalbrand+keyword.com is a few months old

If you truly believe that keyword domain thing, you would scrap the first
site and start over with said domain.

Or, start a new one, link up from the old one.

I think that your logic moving from page 2 to page 1 based on a domain
    name is all wet.

Why not work a tad harder on what's there already?

There is no substitute for hard work.

Too many people think that a domain name will mean less work. Hardly.

In fact, toss this in. You forward some old site, and now you have gummed
up the works for that site. No way is there any guarantee that doing that
will boost you. It may do the opposite. It may take you down lower, as now
for the keywords you are ranking for go out the window.

DO NOT move it to the other domain!

Keyword in domain is just about meaningless today. Anyone who tells you otherwise is full of it. Doesn't mean you "can not" rank with it in domain. Means there is NO ADVANTAGE from it anymore.

Either do the work yourself to get better rankings or outsource it.

And so you know...Unless that originalbrand+keyword.com domain has links to it or it gets natural searches, you are gaining absolutely NOTHING from forwarding it.

You can set it up as a blog and put relevant content on it and link to your originalbrand.com, or you can just get links to it and leave it as forwarded. At the moment if it has no PA or DA or PR, you are not accomplishing anything by forwarding it.

    Best of luck to you.

      Thanks Paul & Mike

I guess you both say the same thing. SEO or IM is not my business though, so outsourcing , which I have been contemplating, will be the ticket. Any recommendations?

BTW my product is totally unrelated to IM, but is still very competitive
