SEO: Uploading Content to Site

From an SEO standpoint...

-Will uploading say 50-100 (unique) articles, images, and some videos hurt my website if I just launch the website all at one time?

-or-

-Is it better to 'drip-feed' content an allow each new batch of content to get indexed first?

I am working on an authority website, and really didn't want to launch it until I had at least 50 highly targeted articles written.

Thanks,

Art

My own personal opinion is that it will do you no harm whatsoever. If you have those articles ready then it's fine to launch the site with them all on.

BUT, if you don't have them ready yet, I'd also say that getting the site live and gaining age in Google will be of a very slight benefit so start with however many you have now.

In the long run though, it won't make much difference.

  • Drip-feeding is the best policy.

Unless you've got a dozen articles in the pipeline, I'd set some of them to be published in the coming weeks. That's got nothing to do with publishing the site, but keeping the site active and feeding new articles to Google.

Sites have always been published by just moving them to production. I very much doubt that it would hurt anyone.

Links in signature will not help your SEO. Not on this site, and not on any other forum.
Who told me this? An ex Google web spam engineer.

    What's your excuse?
