Hello,

I am new to SEO and I have been looking for answers all round before turning to the forum. I have a couple of questions :

- Whenever I publish a post it get index by google after 2-3 days. How can I speed up this process. I do maintain a sitemap.xml and there are no restrictions in robots.txt

- I post frequently. Articles are original and not copied. But still my Page Rank is zero or N.A. I do understand the importance of back links however since my site is new it might take time.

- How frequently Page Ranks are updated by google.

- Is there an online site which can analyze the site for errors and performance

- Lastly, is there a complete SEO guide which can explain SEO comprehensively instead of teaching SEO in bits and pieces.

Thanks in advance !

    1. You can install Google webmaster tools and submit a sitemap. Or you can build some backlinks to the page which will help it get indexed faster.

    2. How frequent you post or originality of the article has nothing to do with PR. All new posts will be PR N/A as this won't get updated until Google updates the PageRank toolbar which occurs every few months or so.

    3. Again PageRank in the past has been updated every 3-4 months or so, but as of late it has been sporadic. It updates when they feel like updated.

    4. Nothing that will be comprehensive. Use Google Webmaster Tools to check all broken links, crawling issues etc. You can use something like https://www.pingdom.com/ if you want to check other stuff.

    5. SEO is an ongoing process that is always constantly updating and changing. Just read the forums and test on your own. That is the best way to learn.

      Thanks Gyuman82 !

Restating what you just said to ensure that I got it right :

      - Google updates Page Rank results a little sporadically now and my Page Rank is going to remain "N.A" or ZERO till the next update. Did I get it right?

      - For faster indexing of post I need to create quality back links as I have already submitted my sitemap to google through webmaster. Moreover, I get a message from my CMS that google , bing etc have been informed whenever sitemap is created or resfreshed.

      Thanks Again !

Yes you are correct. All your pages on your site will be PR N/A until the next PR update.

Add your site to google webmaster tools
Submit rss feed of your blog / post whenever you publish
Bookmark your posts/ pages whenever you post
Share your post/page on social sites
If you're on wordpress you can use a plugin (free version) like Social Networks Auto Poster {SNAP} to automate social sharing, bookmarking etc.

-I started doing that on Delicious...but stopped as it not getting too much of traffic

      - Diggs doesn't allow it except from main sites

      - Reddit doesn't let you post more than 10% from your site
