So bare with me my experienced linkers
I recently found an article on the Huffington Post that was all about the same topic as one of my niche sites. So I did a fairly lengthy comment with a new slant on the subject in the comment thread - of course I dropped a link to my niche site. It was accepted because I am a very active commenter on HP.
SO Question is: I know that any link in a Huffington Post comment is a nofollow, but if it's approved, is there any effect on your site at all?
- does the nofollow link help your site in the SERPS
- does it have no effect at all
- does it hurt your site in the SERPS
Can't imagine Google seeing the Huffington Post as a "bad neighbourhood".
Please correct me as I have never really been much of a linker. Just settled for a decent living without the risk of making bad linking mistakes.
