HELP - How Can I Get My Facebook and Twitter Pages to be Indexed by Google?

by todd40fla 2 replies
I recently set up a facebook fan page and linked it to a new twitter account I also activated.

I do not wish to do anything with these pages except to get the onto google so when people search for me they find them that way. In other words these will not be used to market or to make money for me, just to help me with branding.

I set the pages up about 2 weeks ago and they are still not coming up when I do a google search for the name I set them up with.

How can I get them to show up?

Should I just buy "likes" for each page or backlinks or both.....or is there some other way to get them indexed?

Not showing up in a search does not mean not indexed.

    hi todd40fla,

You can treat your facebook fan page as any other static webpage. This means you primarily need backinks to it for Google to find, and show in the search results for the name of your business. Be sure when linking back to your fanpage you use "Name of your business" as the clickable anchor text. Since most businesses aren't going to have the same name of your business you might not have to do much link building to accomplish this.
