Help me out folks I have seen a posting on FB suggestion one with adsense on their site will get paid on views even IF ads ARE NOT clicked...

I posted this in google adsense forum and am reposting here. I tried to be as direct as possible to get a definitive answer...

Two items to address here:
1)I saw this posted that someone with adsense account who has ads embedded on their blog/website/article will make some money as long as a visitor opens the article (I assume they mean click on link that brings a visitor to a page with adsense ads embedded) then if the visitor clicks on an ad the site owner (who has the adsense account that embedded ads on their page/blog/article) will make a higher percentage on that click...

So am I to understand people with adsense ads on their blogs/ websites etc are being paid on page views and then more if ads are clicked?? The poster gives the impression that one will be paid even if ads ARE NOT clicked...

2)I was under the impression that blog/website owners only get paid on clicks and the more impressions/views of ads and the page itself increases the payout on the clicks?? In other words a page that gets a 1000 views and say X clicks will payout more than a page that gets 100 views and X number of clicks??
