Hi
Is buying expired domains is something that can pay of to SEO?

My website is for restaurant, local business.
Already submited in ton of local directories and niche related directory categories but I need some more links.

I was thinking instead of making web 2.0 pages to buy niche related expired domains (something about tourism) with 20 - 30 of Linking Root Domains.

Be careful submitting to LOW PR directories unless they are relevant to ur niche. I don't know if I would do Web 2.0's Why don't u just buy expired domains with backlinks and trust flow ?? Relative to ur restaurant niche
Use seomoz, majestic Seo, way back machine and hrefs make sure you don't buy a domain with FAKE PR!! Try using expired domains.net that site is free but it tells u everything to filter for. But trust me.... You have ALOT OF COMPETITION so don't think just because u have some money you'll be able to scoop up whatever u want. I my experience it takes days or weeks to find a gem. Just be SURE U HOST IT ON ITS OWN IP and hide ur name and do privacy to be double sure GOOGLE DOESNT CATCH ON.

You cannot filter out any domains with fake PR easily nowadays. There are lots of PR6+ domains that appears to be genuine but have very few backlinks. Their PR was acquired by re-directing to a genuine high PR domain.

If you need help finding good expired domains or cheap SEO hosting to set everything up, let me know and I will gladly help.

Are you talking about setting up your own private blog network? Check out Register Compass, which is a paid service that helps you find expiring domains that are up for auction.

I will warn you however that although being extremely effective, it can get expensive and there is a learning curve at the start.

Renting links is also an option as well.

Josh is right; a private blog network would probably be very effective for your local restaurant project/client and I doubt it would take a huge number of domains either.

BUT it's not as easy as people think and you have to be very careful not to get caught out spending money on domains that aren't worth a dime. My advice would be to spend the next couple of weeks reading some of the threads here on WF and blogs such as ViperChill to get a sense of what is really required to build a decent PBN.

Everyone who does this as more than a hobby should be reading ViperChill. Glen is a solid guy, and pretty funny on twitter as well.

Whenever you buy old domains, also check it's backlinks profile and make sure it's not previously penalized by any search engine. If your domain have good backlinks from hi pr it will benefit you.
