What if I write quality articles to my blog continually?

Will google show me favour without backlinks of anykind?
That is exactly what I intend doing. I created two sites one with backlinks and the other without. But I shall add quality articles in at least 1000 words count and on page optimizations. What do you think guys? Will it work without backlinks?

    You can keep on writing forever but if you don't get any links you can forget it.

    As long as the content is interesting enough you should focus on traffic, as it seems you're scared to build links yourself, so promote your site so that it gets traffic and those visitors can then link to you if they want.

    Make sure the content is of decent quality and use interesting headlines that grab people's attention and make it worthy to share. No one is waiting for some lame articles that are in fact just filler content.

    Or better, write awesome content that requires expertise and make other people in your niche aware of it so that THEY share it so that you get real links instead of some links from someone's hobby PR n/a blog or crappy nofollow social media stuff.

    Nobody is ranking pages without decent links, unless your exact keyword is a mile long one hit wonder.

      Well, internal links are backlinks...

      But, why not just stick with that $62.66 a day diet?

    True quality content in my opinion leads to more conversion, and referrals, but not much in the way of search engine traffic. However referrals usually bring their credit cards also, so I don't care where they come from.

    Yes your website is going up with quality content but it take 5 to 6 year.
    But i am prefer to go with some high quality backlinks with high quality Content to doing good seo.

    It is a link in my sig. Paul insisted that I might stick with the system I used to make 62.66 within a day. Basically I made few hundreds (close to $500) with that system. Yes it still works but it should be done with great care b/c you will loose your traffic source account otherwise in a short time.

    Thank you guys. I learned from your suggestion that I need backlinks anyways. Yes I am terrified in building them myself. I will keep on writting and posting quality articles and build links gradually. Let us see where it will take me.

    If you will write quality articles on your favorite subjects as you like to do.
    Google don't care you are doing much and much hard work in writing those articles.
    You still have to do SEO of your website it is necessary for everyone.

    Yeah, G will give you some attention, but then you will need to get some Good backlinks. Posting alone won't cut it, unless you have a GREAT content and people will share it naturally.. but that's not the case here I guess And even if that was true, you would have to get some link building done because your competitors are doing it also..

    Sure, if you are in easy niche, then just regular posting with decent content might get it done.

    I agree with what other members told you here. Without good links you can have the world best content and you still won`t rank.

    This "strategy" reminded me of a Matt Cutts video in which he said to focus on building quality content . Quality content does help for sure by keeping your visitors happy and making them return to your website but you need links to get there . Period !

      @op if you mean ranking with out link building, then yes its possible for low competition keywords.

      I have a niche site that I started in January and I have not built any backlinks and it is ranking #1 for 4 long tail keywords. Understand these are low volume, < 200 search/month, so its not a ton of traffic.

      Just to illustrate the difference, my site is only ranking 80ish for my main keyword at this time (12000 searches) and I don't expect it to get much higher until I do some link building.

      I use a silo structure and link all my pages together that way, and I have used social media to promote my posts - but I have not built any external backlinks (like guest posting or blog directories etc.)

      I think the best approach is to write your great content and mix in some light quality link building.
