I let a domain to expire one week ago.

I did stupid mistake that I did not deindex it first, so my unique content stays there although it was bought by domain broker who has only homepage with ads on it. So my content is physically gone, however in Google it still shows all URLs with content in SERPs.

HOW LONG should I wait until Google figures out that content is not there and they deindex it ?

I want to move this contennt to my new website of course.

THANK YOU !

Probably you're taking out your pages from Google Index. This may help you: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1663416

They'll be removed when Google update it's algorithm and pages. What they crawl your website and find your domain expired they'll also remove the previous contents.

      It does not matter.

BTW, you can't deindex someone elses site...

      Again, who cares?

Besides, what would stop the new person from just recreating the site, using
the old content? Exactly as before? Then what?

FYI: Searchers and google are not as dumb as people assume they are.

      Forget about it.

If a page is a 404 but still shows indexed pages in Google SERPs all you have to do is get Google back on the old page/URL to try & reindex the missing page. Build followed links to the 404 URLs, doesn't matter who owns the domain.

...or leave it alone & Google will eventually find the pages are 404s & remove them from the SERPs.
